A group of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) PhD students, including Daniel Suarez, Anagha Satish, Samuel Kwan, Jacob Linderoth, and Ryan Rodriguez, visited AI4OPT to gain a deeper understanding of our research and technological innovations. Kevin Dalmeijer provided an in-depth overview of the institute, outlining our mission and ongoing research projects focused on optimization and artificial intelligence applications.

Key Discussions and Insights
During the visit, students engaged in an interactive Q&A session, where they explored critical topics such as the visibility, scalability, and robustness of AI4OPT’s technologies. They also examined the institute’s work in power grid systems and real-time risk assessments, learning how optimization proxies contribute to more effective and efficient solutions.

Opportunities for Engagement
In addition to the discussions, the visit featured one-on-one interactions with researchers, and a guided tour of the AI4OPT facility. Students also received information about opportunities to collaborate with the institute, further expanding their potential involvement in AI-driven optimization research.
