Researchers and staff of the Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) visited AI4OPT to discuss future collaboration in research as part of the Institutes strategic initiative in AI.

Talks and lectures covered a range of topics: Carleton Coffrin spoke on Quantum Computing, Martin Ma focused on CO2 Transport and Storage, emphasizing the significance of proper modeling for large-scale deployment of carbon capture projects. Sai Krishna Kanth Hari discussed planning interdependent networks of power, water, and natural gas, highlighting challenges and benefits. Harsha Nagarajan presented an online talk on Generalizable ML Methods for accelerating global optimization of nonconvex programs.
