AI4OPT welcomes Constance Crozier to the AI4OPT team. Constance will spearhead our efforts at the intersection of energy and transportation, specifically focusing on electrification. She will also take the lead of a new initiative which will require connections with our ongoing work with Ryder and its extensions in the upcoming spring.
Constance is an assistant professor in the School of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Georgia Tech. She earned her M.Eng and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Oxford in 2016 and 2020, respectively. Following her studies, she worked for one year at the UK Department of Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy and spent three years as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Colorado Boulder. During this period, she led the development of a winning team in the ARPA-E Grid Optimization (GO) competition.
Her research interests primarily focus on the operation and planning of large-scale power systems with an emphasis on demand flexibility, especially in the context of electrified transport. Currently, she leads the IEEE PES SBLC Task Force on integrating electric vehicles into power systems.
