Michael Klamkin, a Research Assistant at AI4OPT, was awarded a National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) fellowship for his work on power systems.
“I am deeply honored to receive the NSF Graduate Research Fellowship. This prestigious award not only recognizes my work so far but also demonstrates confidence in the potential impact of my future research,” said Klamkin. “I will continue my current work with the AI4OPT Institute on self-supervised optimization proxy learning. The fellowship provides me with the freedom to explore new methods and applications, including areas not explicitly covered by AI4OPT.”
Klamkin is excited about the opportunities this award brings for advancing his research and is eager to contribute to the growing body of knowledge at the intersection of AI and optimization.
Last year, Klamkin received the President's Fellowship and the John Morris Fellowship from Georgia Tech's ISyE.
