Two promising students from Victor Valley College (VVC) will be conducting cutting-edge research this summer with AI4OPT at Georgia Tech.

Ruben Vegas and Brian Huie will be working alongside Dan Molzahn, a co-leading member of AI4OPT and an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, who specializes in electric power systems.

Vegas, a third-year college student, has a strong interest in physics-related research.

Huie, also a third-year college student, is interested in exploring the vast domains of programming and engineering.

This follows the success of the first cohort of the AI4OPT Faculty Training Program, which included their professor Michael Butros, who's been teaching physics and mathematics at VVC since 2000.

The two students will join AI4OPT in mid-June. We are excited to welcome them and see the innovative insights they will bring to the table.
