The original camp, organized at Georgia Tech. Level 1 teaches the Snap! visual programming language. The key computational concepts are introduced, using a small robot (“Karel the Robot”) navigating in a grid world. Completing Level 1 also prepares the participants for Level 2.

This camp is intended for high school students interested in computer science and engineering who have no or minimal background in data science and computer programming. The camp only requires participants to use a browser and have the desire to learn computational and data science through meaningful and exciting applications, in machine learning, optimization, computational social science, and genomics.

Kids Teach Tech empowers youth to seize the technology opportunities of their future. They enable students to become teachers who create and teach classes for their community. Kids Teach Tech teaches free classes to youth in libraries, schools, non-profit groups, and live-online across California, the United States, and now Internationally.

Teacher development at Georgia Tech or Virtual (teachers only)

The teacher development prepares high-school teachers and non-profit organizations to run the Seth Bonder Camps themselves (either as summer camps or after-school programs) or to integrate them in their curricula. Level 2 Camps in 2023

In-person at Georgia Tech: July 24-28, 2023

The original camp, organized at Georgia Tech. Level 2 follows Level 1 and transitions to the Python programming language to introduce the participants to data science applications. Labs include sentiment analysis, sequence alignment, Sudoku, decision trees, and path finding. Completing Level 2 also prepares the participants for Level 3, which will start in 2024.

This camp only requires participants to use a browser and have the desire to learn computational and data science through meaningful and exciting applications, in machine learning, optimization, computational social science, and genomics.

Participants are allowed to register for this course without completing the Level 1 campHowever, we must note that prior experience with the Python programming language is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We will not be able to consider any refund requests after 7/12/2023.
